Dear Colleagues and Business Partners,
Let me begin by wishing you and your families a heartfelt happy New Year. I would also like to thank you for your ongoing commitment and support.
2024 was an important milestone year for our company as we celebrated our 50th anniversary. So I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on some of the highlights and achievements last year, as we begin an exciting new year.
- Our company has now grown to over 90,000 staff in 17 countries around the world
- We began operations at our new factories in India for the first time
- We published our first official ESG report under the new Korean Government requirements and I’m proud to say we achieved all of our interim sustainability targets regarding energy usage, emissions reduction, solar power generation and use of recycled materials in our production
- We are nearing completion of a new Textile and Fashion Institute and will soon open a pilot medical complex at the KEPZ in Bangladesh
- We invested over US$50 million in new machinery, buildings and equipment
For 2025 our priorities will continue to be focused on reinforcing our vision of pursuing excellence with passion. We anticipate that this will be another challenging and competitive year for the ready-made garment industry, so it is vital that we continue to provide customers with the highest quality products in the industry.
Sustainability will continue to be at the heart of everything we do, as we strive to reduce waste and increase use of renewable energy and recycled materials.
We continue to invest in our people, with expansion of our GEAR program (Gender Equality and Results) to develop more female supervisors. And our third YLDP (Youngone Leadership Development Program) is well underway with nearly 100 managers. This highly successful program has also been extended to Vietnam for the first time.
I want to thank you once again for your support, and I am excited about what the future holds for our entire Youngone Group of companies.
